About AeroPlayer MP3
AeroPlayer turns your Palm OS 5 deivce into a portable MP3 audio player. Just copy your music files onto an SD or MMC card (or transfer them using HotSync), plug in your headphones, and listen to your music on the go!Why version 5? Because it's designed for Palm OS 5. AeroPlayer 6 will be designed for Palm OS 6 (aka Cobalt).AeroPlayer 5 is a ground-up rewrite of the entire AeroPlayer product. If you've used previous versions of AeroPlayer, version 5 will feel familiar, but under the hood, everything is new! In particular, performance is drastically improved. If you use AeroPlayer in the background, you'll notice that in most situations, it will have virtually no performance impact on the other program you're running and skips during playback will be virtually eliminated.
The new playback system sets the stage for new transports, including internet streams(coming soon).
With the release of version 5.5, AeroPlayer will now display album art embedded in your music files! Simply view the 'Track info' screen. If the current track has an image, it'll be displayed at the top of the screen. You can tap on the thumbnail for a full screen view.
There are also new versions of both the MP3 and AAC plug-ins. You'll need to have these installed to view album art correctly. Several bugs involving memory leaks have also been fixed, the result of which being that AeroPlayer should run better than ever on your Palm Powered device!
