About S-View
Take your drawings anywhere you go, view them in full color, zoom in on details! S-View includes a Windows (PC) and a Palm components. Using the PC component you can convert dxf and dwf drawings into the pdb format which is the file format that is used on your Palm. The Windows component also allows you to preview the drawings on your PC before storing them on the Palm. In other words S-View on PC is a file converter and a fully featured dxf and dwf file viewer. S-View is highly optimized for performance and convenience of use on small devices. The minimum OS requirement for the application to operate is Palm OS version 3.5. That means that S-View will run on majority of handhelds including very old ones. Current Palms have OS version 5.x. S-View key features Here is what makes S-View 1.7.1 a unique tool for professionals:- Instant loading: Even big modern engineering drawings are read and loaded in little or virtually no time.
- Optimized drawing: S-View has very small screen refreshing time. Drawing can be interrupted at any moment and automatically resumed from the same point whenever possible. No more constant screen refreshing when you move drawing (Pan) or switch between applications.
- Dynamic Pan operation: Simply tap the screen and move drawing in any direction as you would do with paper draft. You can move drawing instantly without waiting to finish refreshing operation; actually it will continue to draw as you are moving view.
- Easy switching between applications: No reloading or file redrawing operations performed when going to another application and return to the current drawing.
- Easy switch between device and memory card file location: You can have your drawing files located on device as well as on external memory card. You can have as many as you want drawing directories on memory card to switch to.
- Smart navigation: Several types of zooming, going back and forth in history, persistent bookmarks and dynamic panning make it really easy to work on small screen size even with large drawing.
- Drawing accuracy: Besides all main 2D drawing entities, S-View supports such important CAD file features as line styles and hatches with standard and user defined patterns, line weights, splines, composite complex paths for clipping region, etc.
- Full and flexible drawing control: You can easily turn on and off line styles and line weight, hide and show text entities, change and restore layers visibility, change background color and switch between monochrome and color modes. You can hide and show toolbar by just clicking one toolbar button or you can work in truly Full Screen mode using Palm popup toolbar.
- Archive management: Manage your drawing archive directly from the S-View application itself. You can move files between device and card, or just delete them if it is necessary.
- Different Palm devices support: S-View supports all Palm screen resolutions, i.e. 160x160, 320x320, 320x480 and 480x320. It also supports different color resolutions, resizable and rotated screen.
