About DioHanDic 1.0 for Palm OS

Dio漢Dic 1.0 for Palm OS is a Hanja* dictionary of 4,888 characters and 116,000 words used in Korea. Hanja characters are categorized into different levels standardized by the Ministry of Education and Korea Hanja Proficiency Test Institute. In addition, a friendly user interface which best fits the features of Palm OS devices is provided.

* Hanja means the Chinese characters used in Korea 

▣ Requirements* OS: Palm OS 5.0 or higher
* Memory: For full size dictionary approximately 15 MB of main memory is
* required. Or 3MB of main memory and 12 MB memory on storage card is
* required. For compact size dictionary 9 MB of main memory or 6 MB of memory*on storage card is required. If large Hanja font is not installed 1.3 MB of memory*can be saved.
* Screen: High resolution (320*320)
* Desktop: PC which is available for data sync with PDA via HotSync



▣ Features Summary1. 4,888 Hanja characters and 116,000 Hanja words as well as Korean surname and addresses in Hanja are included.
2. Hanja characters and words can be looked up by Korean character or Korean word.
3. Hanja characters can be looked up by writing Hanja characters in the handwriting1.area on the screen (to be supported as a patch version).
3. Hanja characters can be looked up by the number of strokes in the radical and thenumber of stroke in the remaining part.
4. Lists of clipped and searched characters and words are provided for quick review.
5. List of Korean surnames and its family origins are included.
6. Names of towns, cities, provinces of Korea are presented in Hanja characters.
7. Hanja classifications by the Ministry of Education's standard or by Korea Hanja 1..Proficiency Test Institute's standard are supported.
