About RiseSet
The RiseSet application computes the rise, transit and set times for the Sun and the Moon. Any date and user location may be specified. RiseSet has good accuracy for visual sighting. The actual sun times are within a few seconds and the moon times are within a minute. The program also gives: altitude and azimuth angles of the Sun/Moon at the current time, or at a user specified time; a compass drawing showing the azimuth and altitude angles of the Sun/Moon; length of the day; the time of the civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight; current percent visibility of the Moon; date and time of the next Moon phase; lunar or solar eclipse information a few days in advance of the event; optionally gives the magnetic compass reading for the Sun/Moon azimuth angle. This version adds the ability to import location data from GeoDB.
