About Ring Profiles for Treo 600

RingProfiles now enables Treo 600 users to easily manage any ring tones used by the Phone, Calendar, SMS, MMS and System applications by defining 6 customizable profiles and enabling the user to easily switch from one profile to another.
Selecting a profile Ring Profiles comes with 6 pre-defined profiles (Normal, Outdoors, Meeting, Alarms, Vibrate and Silent), each profile being a specific set of rings for the Treo applications. The user can easily switch from one profile to another when needed, by moving the focus with the direction buttons or using the numeric keys 1-6.
When entering a meeting, only two clicks are needed to select the Meeting profile and automatically configure the 5 applications to the appropriate ring mode and, when heading out of the office, switching to the Outdoors profile is done in a second!
Editing a profile - Main Screen For each profile, and for each of the applications (Phone, Calendar, Messaging, System and Games) you can select the ring volume as well as enable or disable the vibrate option.
Navigating from one profile to another is made easy using the profile selection bar on top of the screen. Note that the name of each profile can also be customized by the user.
Additional options can be set using the tones and other settings screen.
Editing a profile - Tones selection Screen Ring profiles enables the user to associate, for each profile, a specific ringtone to the following events:
- Phone call from a known/unknown contact, the voicemail, or if in a roaming environment.
- Calendar events such as alarm and reminder
- Messaging events (SMS, MMS?)
The Manage button is a link toward the Treo's Manage Sound application to edit/delete ring tones.
Editing a profile - Other Settings Screen Advanced options, independently defined for each profile, are available in the Other setting screens enabling the volume for phone call, speaker and earpiece as well as switching on/off the service tone to be configured.
Calendar events can also be managed for each profile, defining the number of time they are to be played as well as the interval between the alarms.
Useful Feature : Power On notification When you turn on your Treo, a convenient pop-up reminds you of the active profile, (Silent on the example).
The Preferences screen enables the viewer to activate/deactivate the notification for each profile, and to set the duration of such notification.
By default, the Normal profile does not generate a notification.  
Profile QuickLaunchers apricot software also provides a set of 6 small applications called RingP1.prc to RingP6.prc. Each application launches RingProfiles and selects the relevant profile. By setting one or all of the RingP1-6 application as favorites, the user is able to change profiles directly from the favorite application menu in just one click, as illustrated on the pictures below, where selecting the RingP3 application activates the third profile (the Meeting profile) in the example below.


RingProfiles is available for the Treo650 in English, German, Italian, Spanish and French and in English for the Treo600.
