About PerfPump
?PerfPump? is an adult cardiac perfusion calculator that should be used only as a "guideline" or an "estimate" for the following calculated values: CO, CI, BSA, BMI, CrCl, EBV, RCV, post-dilutional Hct, heparin dose, and protamine dose. It features a data input screen and a results screen which display the corresponding calculated values. The EBV calculation uses 65 ml/kg or 70 ml/kg for male and female respectively. The heparin dose is calculated using 300 units/kg or 400 units/kg depending if aprotinin is administered. The heparin/protamine ratio is 1:1.2. A pediatric version and desktop version of both will be released soon.
