Serving on a British ship, Conrad learned English and became an inveterate Anglophile, eventually settling in Cantebury, England and becoming an English citizen. Joseph ConradConrad produced his best known works starting in 1899 with "Heart of Darkness" and ending with "Chance" in 1913.
